This is a list of games and software available on Steam that do not require the use of the Steam client itself (after the game or software is downloaded using the client), do not contain any third-party DRM (Digital rights management, e.g. Games for Windows - LIVE, Uplay, Denuvo Anti-Tamper, etc.), and do not utilize the optional Valve CEG (Custom Executable Generation) component, making them effectively launcher-free applications once downloaded. This allows usage of the game directly both offline and without utilization of Steam or third-party software running.

Old School Hack - "A table-top roleplaying system that's a hack of a hack of the original Red Box version of a certain popular hack-and-slash fantasy game. That's a lot of hacking."
While Nate believed that there was a timeline where Zari was aboard the Waverider, Behrad didn't think so. The Legends locked Zari in a room aboard the Waverider while they were on a mission. Annoyed, she asked Gideon how many CatChat followers she had lost. While trying to figure out if a computer she found had an internet connection, Zari regained a memory of a version of herself from a previous timeline and managed to hack open the door to the room that she was locked in. Zari left the Waverider, unaware that it was in 1989. Zari then got into Freddy Meyers's limousine thinking that it was the ride that she had asked Gideon to call for her. While waiting for it to leave, the limo got attacked by Kathy Meyers. To protect herself from Katy, Zari used her Dragonesque perfume to fend off Kathy until Behrad defeated her by using the Air totem. Upon realizing why Behrad had the family totem and what he did with it, Zari decided to stay with him and the Legends for a while. Zari then joined the Legends when they went back to the Central City High class of '89 reunion in 2004 to take photos to celebrate their win.
The Legends began fighting over who Charlie would use the Loom of Fate on first with Zari arguing that it should be Behrad. Charlie agreed with her and tried to resurrect Behrad, but she was unsuccessful. Later, when mishaps began occurring aboard the Waverider, Zari blamed Astra Logue and sought proof that Astra should not be there. During her investigation, Zari hacked into the ship's cameras and watched the footage with Nate and Charlie. While watching each captured incident, the three realized that they had no memory of their actions. Soon they realized that Gary's dog was nearby barking whenever one of the three did something unexplainable. Gary Jr. then cornered the Legends. With nowhere to go, the team quickly went onto the dais in the brig. Later, Zari offered friendship to Astra, by offering her a tour of the Waverider, but Astra declined the offer.
Zari was surprised as Mick, Lita, Gary Green, and Mona Wu all boarded the Waverider with anger as they had waited for the ship for four months. When they confronted her, she told them to see the other Zari and not her. Eventually, both versions of Zari were assigned to disable Gideon as the A.I. had been turned into the new loom by Lachesis. While Tomaz tried to use her hacking skills to deactivate Gideon, Tarazi chose to grab the cord and unplug it, disconnecting the world from its computerized master.
Behrad arrived in the pocket dimension after a quick infiltration mission and told Zari that she would have to impersonate her robot counterpart since she was the only person that was allowed access to "evil Gideon". Later, a robot of Zari discovered and entered the pocket dimension. She found Zari and they started fighting each other. When Gary and Astra found them, they both asked for their help telling them that they were the "Real Zari". Zari finally managed to get the upper hand on her robot counterpart and ripped out her CPU. She then shouted at Gary since he was about to eat her. Zari, Behrad, and Astra boarded the Waverider that "evil Gideon" was using and headed to the server room. Once they arrived, Behrad and Astra told Zari the shutdown code and wished her luck. Zari entered the server room, inserted the override drive, and started entering the shutdown code. However, "evil Gideon" interrupted her and revealed that she knew Zari was the real Zari. "Evil Gideon" threatened to kill Zari, Behrad, and Astra by removing all of the oxygen from the ship. Before "evil Gideon" could do so, Zari ripped out all of her cables, taking her offline. After "evil Gideon" had been taken offline, Behrad told Zari to strap in since their landing would be a bit bumpy. When they landed, Astra came up with a plan of using Gideon to tell the robots of Nate and Sara to take out their CPUs. After that, all of the Legends reunited aboard their new Waverider.
Zari told the Legends that when she and Behrad had connected the cables to bring "evil Gideon" back online, she swapped one of the plugs, which meant that the lab was a "safe room". Since the team couldn't leave the lab, they started to get hungry, so Astra cast a spell that multiplied a package of peanuts that Spooner had. Soon after, Gideon told the Legends that they had to retire. Refusing to do so, the team came up with a plan to take "evil Gideon" offline and get off of the Waverider. Everyone was given something to do except for Zari. Since she didn't have anything to do, Zari followed Gideon who had promised that "evil Gideon" would show each of the Legends a glimpse of their future to try to convince them to retire. While watching a video of herself in the future, Zari asked why she didn't have her Air Totem and Gary suggested that maybe it clashed with her outfit. Zari left the parlor disappointed since her future wasn't as heroic as she had hoped.
Falcom's own remake of Ys IV, remixing/changing aspects of past versions. Gameplay is like Ys Seven (fast-paced hack n' slashing with careful guards/dodges to counter/avoid enemy assaults). Story is a Pulp Fiction-ish ordeal, as you share in Adol's confusions and rediscoveries as he solves a grand mystery by kicking some demon ass. Rockin' soundtrack, fast action, and extensive exploration await. Negatives include the graphics being a bit bloomy, story is a bit cliche at times, and foes being a bit damage-spongy on highest difficulties.
